The type of editing you require varies depending on the status of your project. If your book is finished and formatted, and just needs someone to look over for stray punctuation or typos, proofreading is for you.
If you've got a first draft but need someone to give detailed feedback about pacing, structure, relationships etc, then developmental might be a good choice.
Line editing is my most thorough service, and is best for people who need some to help with tone, consistency and clarity, as well as rewriting sections whilst maintaining your unique voice.
